The message of our culture says that joy is the thing we need in order to be happy, fulfilled, and successful. Social media feeds, talk shows, and articles all communicate to us that joy is basically guaranteed to anyone who follows their advice or completes the next checklist. But is that true? What happens when you work your way through a whole list of life hacks but still feel empty, lonely, and longing for more? Undeniably, we are all looking for joy. But where does it come from? Where do I find it? Does it last and will it satisfy me? We will find the answers in John 15:1-11 as we talk about abiding in Jesus and in His love.
