What is CSM?
Our Cornerstone Student Ministry is the place to be for Middle School and High School students, 7th-12th grades. Students are encouraged to participate in family worship on Sunday mornings and to meet on Sunday nights for Emerge, 6-8 PM in The HUB. Emerge includes an awesome worship experience led by the Student Praise Team, followed by solid, biblical teaching. During the week, students connect through Journey Groups, most of which meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM during Rooted. Through CSM, our students learn what it means to know Christ and to grow in fellowship with Him and with each other!
What is available for students?
High School students meet on Sunday nights for ASCEND, 6-8pm in The Hub. We hang out and eat pizza until around 6:30pm, playing basketball, volleyball, Spikeball, pool, or just talking. Then, we kick off the night with a game or two and an awesome worship experience led by the Student Praise Team. Worship is followed by solid, biblical teaching by our high school student pastor, Izzy Markle, and small group prayer at the end. ASCEND is a big event for our high school students every week!
Middle School students meet on Wednesday nights for LIFT, 6-8pm in The Hub. We start off the night eating pizza, playing basketball, four square, volleyball, ping-pong, pool, and just hanging out. Around 6:30 we start our programmed time with group games, engaging worship, and biblical teaching by our middle school student pastor, Scott Sheppard. We end the night with small group discussion and prayer time. LIFT is our big middle school event that happens every week!
CSM Journey Groups
During the week, our students connect through Journey Groups. High School Journey Groups meet on Wednesday nights from 6-8pm at various host homes. Middle School Journey Groups meet on Sunday nights from 6-8pm in The Loading Dock. CSM Journey Groups are grade and gender-specific. The goal is to provide our students with opportunities to experience authentic, biblical community as they study the Bible together and apply it to their lives. Group discussion is based upon the SCEND (HSM) or LIFT (MSM) study from that week.
