The McLeod Hospice House is designed to care for those patients who are unable to stay at home because they require symptom management or they are actively dying and do not wish to die at home. It is a place where people will live their final days in comfort and dignity, and where caregivers work with their hands and their hearts.
Tuesday Tea is a weekly event provided by the volunteers at the Hospice House. They load up a cart and go room to room and provide light snacks and sometimes fresh baked cookies and milk.
Thankful Thursdays gives area businesses, organizations and some families of past patients the opportunity to donate their time and food to help those who are going through difficult times with those they love in hospice care. You will need to prepare a meal that can serve up to 15 people. Your group will need to notify the Hospice House in advance to schedule the date that you plan to volunteer.
If you know when your group would like to serve, please register and Willie Dillenbeck will be in contact with you. You can also call the church office at 843.395.1370 or email Willie at email@example.com if you have any questions.
